Another batch under way! American Deluxe Lager

Another batch under way! American Deluxe Lager

Keeping it simple

It has been a VERY long time since I’ve brewed a batch. Alas, the mood struck and I had the day off from work, so it was the perfect time to get back into it.

However, since it had been so long, I decided to stick with a super simple recipe. This American Lager is as simple as it gets – just one can of Hopped Malt Extract (HME), yeast, and water. This one was so simple that it took longer to clean and sanitize the equipment than it did to get the batch completed!

The earliest window for sampling if the batch is ready is 10 days from now so stay tuned towards the end of the month for updates!

It’s in the bottle!

Now to wait at least two weeks for the bottle conditioning.

It’s going in the fridge!

The fridge conditioning testing was successful. This beer turned out pretty light in taste, a nice amber color in the glass, with a little zing coming from somewhere.

That’s a wrap for this brew cycle. Stay tuned for the next brewing adventure!
